Project Wounded Soldier and Martial Arts Match Up
The goal of this project is to match up wounded soldiers from the war in Iraq and Afghanistan with
complimentary martial arts training in facilities located in or close to the soldiers hometown.
Soldiers who have received permanent injuries from the current wars are scattered throughout the United
States. Many are isolated and survive on a limited fixed income. The idea is to provide these individuals with an
opportunity to receive complimentary martial arts training from a martial arts school located close to the
soldiers home.
The majority of these individuals are young men with relatively new disabilities. They will benefit immensely
from the confidence, physical activity, and companionship that come with martial arts training. This type of
training is especially important to those who have incurred permanent disabilities and need to learn to adjust
to their new bodies.
NOT-ME! is currently compiling a database of martial arts schools that are willing to provide the
complimentary training. We are systematically contacting every school in the United States in order to determine whether
they are willing participate in our Project.
We estimate that it should take approximately 10 hours to complete the 50 name list. Please complete your list
in no more than six weeks from the date you receive your instruction package.
All specific questions should be emailed to notme.selfdefense@gmail.com.
