Most physicians that volunteer are primary care physicians ( family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics) ,
general surgeons, and OB/Gyn. However many other specialists have volunteered and have been very helpful.

If you are a doctor or dentist volunteer working at BMC for the first time you must fill out forms for the
Medical and Dental Council of Ghana to attain a temporary license to be able to work (practice) while you are
here in the country. The forms can be obtained through the Business Facilitator (see below)
Our Ghana Business Facilitator would like to have this with all accompanying documents in our hands 3 months
ahead of your planned arrival.
